BSE PSU Index is the PSU indices product from the BSE stable and is used as a proxy of the government companues as it represents all PSU companies from BSE 500 Index. The objective of this indices is to give investors and government an indication of the PSU sector.

1. An Index Tracking the performance of listed equity of PSU companies
2. A suitable benchmark for the Central Government to monitor its wealth on the bourses
